Nigeria’s Super Eagles has slipped one step to the 39th spot in the World football governing body, FIFA monthly ranking.
In the ranking released on Thursday from Zurich, Switzerland, Nigeria is ranked 39th in the world and sixth best team in Africa.
The Gernot Rohr-team with 715 points in June is lagging behind Egypt, Senegal, Congo, Tunisia and Cameroon on the continent.

Meanwhile, Germany have capped a sensational week on the international stage by returning to the top of the World Ranking for the first time since being knocked off the top spot exactly two years ago.
Following their 1-0 win over Chile in Saint Petersburg, the newly crowned FIFA Confederations Cup champions have narrowly overtaken Brazil and leapfrogged Argentina.
The next FIFA World Ranking is slated for August 10.
